Yes, it's possible to ride an Element like that. But should you? You could probably get at least 3-4 days of riding in like that before the bike fell to pieces. Case one landing and your rear wheel is already shot. Wouldn't a Giant Reign, Transition Covert, Trek Remedy, Specialized Enduro, etc be much more suitable for this type of riding? Or a Rocky Mountain Slayer if you want to stick with this company. These bikes were actually built to handle this type of riding. Does anyone else think Rocky Mountain is shooting themselves in the foot right now releasing a video of an Element being ridden way beyond it's usable potential?
25lb bike = garbage
30lb bike = money
Not to take anything away from the riders. I liked the video, and am genuinely impressed with the level of skill. But I honestly do not believe Thomas and Wade would do this if it wasn't for marketing purposes. Unless Rocky Mountain gives them a new one to ride every week.
